Strategic Digital Designer (Medior/Senior)
We are looking for a Strategic Digital Designer who lives at the intersection of business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility. In this role, you won't just be spending your time on Figma files; you will be a key product consultant for our clients. You will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and tangible UI design. You will lead discovery phases, facilitate strategic and creative workshops, design and prototype products and collaborate closely with our Product Managers and engineering team to ensure our designs are both usable and buildable. As part of the Miyagami team, you will have a say in how we work and fully participate in projects from beginning to end. This means we are looking for people willing to carry a lot of responsibility and who strive to have a direct impact in their team and constantly improve their skills.

We are now 4 years up and running and with a current team of 15+ people, we are always looking for new talent to join. As part of our team, you will collaborate with fellow designers and developers, project managers and clients across the entire design and development process to ensure the best design for diverse projects and platforms. Our office is located in Amsterdam and our team works at the office or from home.
Verantwoordelijkheden en taken
Jouw dagelijkse verantwoordelijkheden zien er als volgt uit:
- Lead discovery & strategy sessions: Facilitate client workshops and discovery sessions to extract requirements and define the product vision and value proposition.
- End-to-end product design: Translate business requirements into Information Architecture (IA), user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
- Propose and implement digital product & UX/UI best practices and guidelines.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to ensure design decisions align with business viability and technical feasibility.
- Create wireframes and design prototypes for web and mobile applications using Figma UI kits and AI prototyping tools.
- Review and critique colleagues' work and guide junior/medior designers through the design process.
- Advise and pitch to clients: present design rationale and guide clients through product and creative decisions.
- Maintain scalable design documentation such as UI kits, component libraries and style guides to streamline hand-off to development.
Vereisten
- You have 5+ years of full-time experience in digital product design (Agency experience is a plus).
- You have completed a BSc. or University degree in Industrial Design Engineering, UX or equivalent. A Master’s in Strategic Design or Interaction Design is highly preferred.
- You are very knowledgeable about the entire design process of digital products, from strategic and user research, to designing apps and platforms following established UX/UI product guidelines.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and expert at translating raw research insights into clear design directions.
- You are very comfortable hosting meetings, leading workshops, and managing client expectations.
- You understand how digital products are built and can speak the language of developers to ensure quality during implementation.
- You understand the strategic value of branding and the role it plays within digital products and UIs.
